The City of Brevard is requesting an easement on Board of Education property for the next phase of the city’s bike path project. The City’s bike path is a major component in the community’s quality of life. Partnering with the school system on this strategic connection will be a significant achievement towards the goal of building the rest of the path in the next three years. The city will take care of all of the surveying, paperwork, construction and maintenance.
The attached shows the current easement and proposed bike path in blue, and the requested easement and bike path location in green.
The city is requesting assurance from the Board so surveying work and other preparations can begin. Norris Barger will discuss the easement and answer any questions you may have.
A motion would be in order to grant the easement request.
