II. Special Recognition & Reception for Betty Scruggs McGaha

Special recognition will be given to Betty Scruggs McGaha, whose tenure on the Transylvania County Board of Education concludes at the end of November. Mrs. McGaha was elected to a four-year term on the board in November 2014. During her time on the board, and throughout her career with the school system before that, Mrs. McGaha has dedicated countless hours to improving educational services and programs for the students and families in our community.
The board will present an engraved plaque as a token of thanks and appreciation to Mrs. McGaha for her years of outstanding service and leadership. Members will have an opportunity to share their thoughts, which will be followed by a short recess and reception in Mrs. McGaha’s honor.
