Each June, the Transylvania County Board of Education recognizes the employees of Transylvania County Schools who will be retiring or have retired during the current school year. Some of the honorees have spent their entire careers with the Transylvania County Schools, and some have worked in other school districts in addition to Transylvania. The 16 people being honored this year represent a combined total of 393 years in public education. The board would like to offer its commendations and congratulations to the individuals named below in gratitude for their years of dedicated service to public education and the students of Transylvania County Schools.
