The North Carolina School Boards Association recently released its Fall 2016 PLS Updates. Some of the updates will be incorporated into new policies over the next few months; others are being addressed now as revisions to policies that were previously adopted by the board. Twenty-four revised policies and one new policy* are being presented as first-read information. Approval will be requested in November. Mr. Weaver will discuss the policies and answer any questions you may have.

*New policy 7601, Merit-Based Bonuses, is an optional template for use in developing either a policy or a plan. The board will discuss merit-based bonuses later in the meeting.
