At the April 21, 2025, Board Meeting, Kristen Gentry of the CARE Coalition presented the Youth Substance Use & Behavioral Health Survey data results.  The Board requested that the CARE Coalition draft a Resolution regarding a joint drug-prevention effort with the Board of Education.  On June 10, 2025, the Transylvania County Board of Health formally resolved to support legislative changes through which North Carolina may protect children and youth from addiction to intoxicating products.  A copy of the June 10th Resolution is available for viewing on our website.  At the June 16th meeting, the Board may discuss the creation of a similar Resolution exhibiting its support of drug-prevention measures.
