iv. Activity Buses

At the April 21, 2025, Meeting, the Board Members approved the TCS Budget

Request, subsequently approved by the Board of Commissioners on June 23, 2025. A separate line item in the approved Budget Request was for the purchase of two wheelchair-accessible activity buses. The vendor sales contract for bus one and the order to purchase bus two require Board approval.

v. Fall 2025 Non-Faculty, Sports Coaches

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) requires local Boards to grant permission to employ non-faculty individuals as head coaches of

varsity or junior varsity teams. As a rule, the Transylvania County Board of

Education approves all volunteer and contract coaches for Transylvania County Schools. The full list of Fall 2025 Non-Faculty, Sports Coaches is posted. Director of County Athletics Mark Ellenberger will be available to answer any questions.
